K Style
The most common type of gutter used on modern homes. This
type of gutter features a unique shape on the front edge that looks similar
to a modern home’s crown molding.
Half Round
The second most popular type of gutter, these resemble a
tube that has been cut in half. These gutters have a symmetrical U-shape
that complements older, historic homes.
Box
The third most popular type of gutter, these are over-sized gutters
that are primarily used for commercial or industrial buildings. They are
designed to handle large amounts of water from larger roofs.
Elbows A
(Front) elbows that direct water forward or back from the gutter
outlet.
Elbows B
(Side) elbows that direct water left or right from the gutter outlet.
Downspouts
A pipe that carries rainwater from a roof to a drain or to
ground level. The most common sizes are 3×4 and 2×3. The three types of
downspouts are K style, round, and rectangular.
Miters
The corners of the gutter systems. Miters are installed where the
gutters corners meet to provide additional leak protection.
End Caps
The end piece of a gutter section that keeps debris or water
from flowing out of the gutters. It’s usually a flat piece of metal shaped like
the gutters that attaches directly to the ends of the sections.
Gutter Covers
Also referred to as gutter guards or gutter screens, these
attach over the gutters to prevent water, animals, insects, tree limbs, leaves, and other unwanted debris from clogging your gutters. To view the different types of gutter guards, click here.
